Get Started This FallLearning Words That Stick Through Context
We've found that memorizing word lists rarely works long-term. Instead, our approach builds vocabulary through meaningful contexts and repeated exposure across different situations. You learn words by seeing how native speakers actually use them.
- Focus on high-frequency words used in business and daily life
- Learn collocations and natural word partnerships
- Practice with authentic materials from real sources
- Build vocabulary through speaking and writing exercises
- Track your progress with practical assessments

What Our Students Experience
We asked recent graduates about their experience building vocabulary through our program. Here's what they shared about the process and results.
Annika Bergqvist
Marketing Specialist
I finally stopped translating in my head. The program taught me to think about words in context rather than as dictionary definitions. Now I notice how English speakers combine words naturally.
Davor Kusturica
Software Engineer
What helped most was learning which words go together. Before, I knew individual words but couldn't combine them naturally. The focus on collocations changed how I write emails and documentation.
Siobhan MacLeod
Research Coordinator
The authentic materials made such a difference. Reading actual articles and listening to real conversations showed me how vocabulary works outside textbooks. I can follow professional discussions much more comfortably now.
Why Context Matters More Than Lists
After teaching vocabulary for fifteen years, we've learned that isolated word lists don't create confident speakers. You need to see words in different situations, understand their nuances, and practice using them yourself.
Our October 2025 program emphasizes active use over passive recognition. Each week includes speaking practice, writing assignments, and feedback sessions where you use new vocabulary in meaningful ways. This builds the kind of deep knowledge that stays with you.
