Building Language Bridges in Japan Since 2019
We started with a simple idea: vocabulary matters more than people think. Not just memorizing words, but actually understanding how they fit into real conversations.

How We Got Started
Back in 2019, three former English teachers sat down in a coffee shop in Izunokuni. We'd all noticed the same thing—students could pass tests but struggled with actual English conversations. The problem? Their vocabulary was too narrow.
So we tried something different. Instead of grammar drills, we focused on building word banks that people actually use. And it worked. That small experiment became SyncNetworks.
What Makes Us Different
Most language schools follow textbooks. We follow conversations. Our approach started from watching how people actually communicate—and building learning paths around that reality.
We don't promise fluency in three months. What we do promise is a structured way to expand your working vocabulary, with words you'll genuinely use. That's been our focus since day one, and it's what students tell us makes the difference.
Why Vocabulary Comes First
Here's what we learned from years of teaching: grammar helps you structure sentences, but vocabulary gives you something to say. You can have perfect grammar and still struggle to express ideas if your word bank is too limited.
That's why we prioritize vocabulary expansion first. Once you have the words, the grammar falls into place much faster. It sounds simple, but it changes everything about how quickly people progress.
Meet the Team
Our instructors have taught English in Japan for years. They understand the specific challenges Japanese learners face with vocabulary.
Oskar Lindström
Lead Vocabulary Instructor
Taught English in Osaka for eight years before joining us in 2020. Oskar specializes in helping students move from textbook vocabulary to conversational fluency.
Dimitri Pavlov
Program Development Lead
Builds our curriculum based on linguistic research and student feedback. Dimitri's background in applied linguistics shapes how we structure vocabulary progression paths.
Committed to Practical English Learning
We measure our success by how confidently our students can express themselves in English. Not by test scores or certificates—by real communication improvement. Our autumn 2025 programs start in September, and we'd be happy to discuss how our vocabulary-focused approach might work for you.
